Agarwood Conference Visa Request Information
Last question is very important! Please let us know where you can obtain visa, i.e. where is the
most convenient place for you to pick up your
Viet Nam visa. A visa
authorization fax will be sent to a
Viet Nam
consular post of your choice by the Vietnamese immigration authorities, which
will authorize the visa. You will be informed of such authorization as soon as
possible, after we receive the required information.
Conference Security.
Viet Nam
is definitely one of the safest countries in the world for foreign visitors. In
order to make you stay even more secure and optimize conference and workshop
safety, we will issue photo identity cards for all delegates and staff. Only
valid ID holders will be admitted to conference facilities.
We would
respectfully like to request you to submit a passport size photo, preferably 4
– 6 cm, which will be used for this conference identification card. Please send
this photo to us either as a hard copy by airmail or as a low-resolution
digital file or scan by electronic mail. Please send your digital photo in a
SEPARATE e-mail to the conference e-mail address: <
conference@agarwood.org.vn >.
Conference organization and schedule.
A
full schedule will be issued shortly. For your information:
Registration will be started on Friday November 7. A cocktail party will be
held at the conference hotel from 18:00 to 20:00 hours on Sunday November 9.
The conference will commence officially on Monday morning November 10, 2003 as
planned. You will need to be in Ho Chi Minh City by Sunday evening, November 9,
in order to be able to participate in the entire conference including opening
ceremony and keynote speeches.
We
recommend arriving one or two days early for participants from Europe or the US
in order to adjust to time difference. The organizers can make additional,
discounted hotel and other arrangements on request. Pre- or post travel
arrangement in Viet Nam and extended stay at conference hotels or other
facilities can be arranged by the organizers. Possible tourist trip
arrangements in Viet Nam or to neighboring countries will be highlighted in
future announcements. Regular updates will follow this announcement. Reminder;
please pay your conference fees to ensure attendance and hotel room
availability.
With kind
regards,
