Agarwood Project
Seedlings
The Agarwood project is progressing very well. The project is implementing a large seed collecting and planting effort at both project locations in An Giang and Kon Tum province. This is successful after meticulous preparations by TRP Site managers,
Mr. Nguyen Van Thien and Mr. Nguyen Quang Phuong. The project is now growing
over 200.000 seedlings.
Farmer Participants
Over 30 farming families have signed contracts with TRP in An Giang to plant more 20.000 (2001) seedlings. These seedlings have already been distributed. Meetings been conducted, planting and care-taking information are distributed, and fertilizer is donated to those project farmers in the Mekong delta.
 Nursery Kon Tum Province
The second project Aquilaria nursery, in Kon Tum, has been completed on June 15th, and on-schedule. An inauguration ceremony took place on July 2nd, in the presence of provincial dignitaries and counterparts from Kon Tum, An Giang and Ho Chi Minh City.
International Agarwood Conference
We have distributed the conference announcement among a limited number of parties. It’s to help scheduling attendance to our conference. The Viet Nam National University of HCMC has sent TRP Viet Nam an official endorsement letter.
