Call for Papers First International Agarwood Conference
Wood of the Gods
Held by the Viet Nam National University of Ho Chi Minh City & An Giang Province
Call for Papers The Wood of the Gods First International Agarwood Conference will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from November 10 to November 15, 2003. The conference is the first large-scale international event to provide Agarwood researchers, traders, government officials, consumers and [forestry practitioners] the opportunity to participate in an open exchange of knowledge and ideas. Activities include paper and poster sessions, as well as fieldtrips to the Mekong Delta agarwood plantations and a workshop.
ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS: Paper presentations will be 20 minutes, with an additional 10 minutes for questions and answers. Posters will be up during the duration of the conference, with specially scheduled times when presenters will be available to discuss their work.
To submit an abstract for a paper or poster, please complete the abstract form below Accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website prior to the meeting, and distributed at the conference. Please proofread your abstract carefully. Abstracts will be printed exactly as they are received; therefore, they must be error-free.
Both a hard, printed copy of the abstract, as well as a pc-compatible disk
copy (preferably in Word form) should be sent to the following address: Agarwood

District Ho Chi Minh City, VIETNAM. Abstracts in all forms must be received on or before July 1, 2003. Contributors will be notified of the date, time and place for their presentation in September 2003.
RESEARCH PRIZES: Research Prizes for best paper or poster presentation will be
awarded to contributions most outstanding in content and in manner of
presentation. Three prizes are available: two for oral presentations and one
for poster presentations.
